Evening Gowns

Here are three evening gowns that I designed. The pale blue one is from the 1910 era when hobble skirts were all the vogue! I love beading the outfits because it adds so much to a garment. I have to use teeny tiny beads though and a very thin, almost wire needle to sew them on.

These are all Tonner dolls. They are 16 inches tall and very lovely. (Note...I am not in any way affiliated with any of the doll companies whose dolls I use as my models!)

Please excuse the wrinkled background. It was a put something there quick so we can get these photos taken set up.

Thanks for taking a look at my girls!

Butterfly Fairies

Here are a couple of my little 10 inch fairies. I used Tonner Tiny Kitty dolls. I still have the Magenta fairy but I gave the Yellow Rose Fairy away to my sister. I will be putting other fairies up for auction on Ebay soon. These doll costumes are so much fun to create! I get to use all kinds of cool stuff like flower petals, beads, butterflies and glitter.

My Egyptian Queen

This is one of my favorite outfits! The doll is a Tonner Esme. This outfit has lots of beading and detailed assessories which I created myself so that the outfit would look complete. I don't know if I will be making another one for ebay yet. She took a lot of work to complete! What do you think?

My Renaissance Girl

Here are pictures of my Italian Renaissance Outfit. The doll is a Gene doll. Its hard to see but the outer gown has a bead in each little square. She has a chemise, middle dress (that can be worn without the outer dress) , a beaded outer dress with sleeves, a beaded Juliet cap, earrings, necklace and boots. I made two of these outfits: one for myself and one to sell on ebay. She will be going up on ebay soon. I love to sew for dolls...they never complain and they don't gain or lose weight! (grin)

Pictures of my girls

Here are some pictures of my doll costumes. I made the clothes, not the dolls! The title of the first outfit is "Erte in Gold". The title of the second outfit is "Erte in Black".

These outfits are inspired by the father of Art Deco, Erte AKA Romain de Tirtoff, a mirror of fashion for 75 years and most famous during the 20's and 30's.
